Position Description Under the supervision of the Program manager, you are responsible for collaborating with medical, nursing and housing staff to create a safe environment for staff and patients during the withdrawal management process.
Primary Duties:
Greet patients during their intake process; orient to the sober living environment; assist clinical, medical and nursing staff with coordinating care of the patients to ensure patient's needs are being met; assist patients with food and beverage preparation; assist with light janitorial duties; assist with coordinating transportation between organizations' facilities; assist with coordinating pharmacy deliveries; ability to redirect patients who are considering leaving treatment and encourage continued participation in recovery program; communicate clearly with staff and patients; follow through with tasks and communicate when completed or when needing assistance; respond to emails/messages in a timely manner Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma Experience in substance use disorder field preferred Medical assistant, nursing assistant or CDCA certification preferred Carry out detailed written and/oral instructions, along with the ability to understand human behavior Must maintain a professional demeanor while dealing with emotionally charged issues and individuals Must be able to make decisions at times with imperfect information Effectively present information and respond to questions from a diverse demographic group Ability to draft reports and correspondence Effective Communication Active listening skills Demonstrate organization, leadership, and team building Working Conditions:
Some physical demands.
Ability to lift up-to 20 lbs.
