Qualifications:
Training or coursework in typing, office machines, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and publishing software or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Works under the direction of the Office Manager.
Assists with special functions and communications.
Types and edits correspondence and other forms/documents, labels.
Must be able to keep information about elders and staff confidential.
Must be able to multitask.
Answers phones in a professional and courteous manner, takes messages, transfers calls to proper area.
Greets visitors as they enter the building and directs them as needed.
Greets Elders and responds to their needs.
Assists with HR functions, including, but not limited to:
filing, creating folders/binders for new hires in orientation; Assisting with pre-employment appointments, audit personnel files (files, background checks, I9s), 7 database checks for new hires, ensure pre-employment folders are prepared, assist with HR postings throughout MHCO.
Fills in for the Office Manager of Mennonite Memorial Home and Maple Crest when they are out.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
